Parker Whittington a native of Glenwood Springs, Colorado... Began playing guitar at the age of 7. He was given a mandolin for his 10th birthday and that was the beginning of his passion for his unique style of music.
Parker spent the next 7 years perfecting his personal style and performing in his father's country band. Studying and immulating music greats such as: David Grisman, Johnny Staats, Tony Rice, D'Jango Reinhardt, Merle Haggard, Vince Gill, and S. Grappelli. By the age of 12 Parker could be found playing in malls, mando case open, playing for tips, or rehearsing and writing music 6 to 8 hours per day. Parker's talent grew under the close tutelage of his father Caleb and Professor Don Pennington.
At the age of 18 Parker relocated to Nashville with his brother Keenan Date and his father Caleb Dean. Parker co-wrote, co-produced and performed many songs on Keenan Date's first C.D. "When You Were Loving Him." But It was in Nashville on Hody Drive where Parker wrote three of his first Instrumental songs, Hody Rag, Ro-mania, and Half Steppin, he has not stopped since.
